Privacy Policy

Effective 7 November 2026. This policy explains how Birth Injury Helpline (“we”) handles information on birthinjuryhelpline.com.

What we collect

Enquiries. If you use our form, we receive what you enter: who the enquiry is about, US state, approximate year, whether you have a lawyer, your name, phone and optional email, and your confirmations. The fact of an enquiry may itself suggest health information about you or your child. The form does not ask for medical details; please do not send medical records.

WhatsApp. If you message us on WhatsApp, we receive your messages and your WhatsApp profile details. WhatsApp is operated by WhatsApp/Meta under its own privacy policy. Our WhatsApp team is based in Australia, so your messages are handled outside the United States.

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to count page views and which step of a page is reached. We configure it to record only the page address without any query or fragment, no referrer, and no form answers, names or contact details. Google Signals, advertising features and data sharing for ads personalisation are off, and data is kept for 2 months. Google still receives standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, and sets first-party cookies to recognise repeat visits.

Hosting. Our host and network provider (Cloudflare) process routine technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the site.

How we use it

To read and respond to your enquiry, to contact you about it if you agree, to pass it to an independent law firm only after telling you which firm, and to run and secure the site.

Who we share it with

Form enquiries are delivered by email to our team’s business inbox. We share an enquiry with a law firm only if you agree after we name the firm (we have no partner firm at present); with service providers who host, deliver email for, or operate the site; and where required by law. In future, law firms may pay us for advertising or enquiries. We do not sell lists of enquiries or pass them to other marketers.

International handling

Your information may be processed in Australia, the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

Children

This site is for adults. A parent or legal guardian aged 18 or older may make an enquiry about a child.

Retention

We keep enquiries only as long as needed to respond and to meet legal obligations, and delete them on request where we can.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or withdraw consent to contact, by messaging us on WhatsApp (+61 493 564 596). Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state law.

Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes

We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change.
